About Our School
Nestled in the rural community of Mason, New Hampshire, Mason School District is a small, close-knit school community where relationships are at the heart of everything we do. Serving approximately 100 students from preschool through fifth grade at Mason Elementary School, we take pride in providing a personalized educational experience that ensures every child is known, valued, and supported.
While Mason became its own school district in 2009, the Mason Elementary School building has stood as a cornerstone of the community since 1870. For generations, the school has served as both a place of learning and a gathering place for the town, reflecting Mason's enduring commitment to its children and families.
As a one-class-per-grade school, we offer small class sizes and individualized attention that allow us to meet the unique needs of every learner. Our educators know each student by name, understand their strengths and needs, and provide the targeted support and enrichment needed for every child to thrive. This personalized approach has helped Mason Elementary become one of New Hampshire's top-performing schools.
The school remains a focal point of the Mason community. In our small town, families, educators, and community members share a commitment to supporting and raising our children together. These strong partnerships create a nurturing environment where students develop confidence, resilience, and a genuine sense of belonging.
Our commitment to relationships, individualized learning, and high expectations extends beyond the classroom. We strive to create a school culture where students feel safe, supported, challenged, and inspired to become lifelong learners and responsible citizens.
After completing fifth grade, Mason students continue their educational journey through attendance at Milford Middle School and Milford High School or through open enrollment opportunities. We are proud to provide our students with a strong academic foundation while instilling the values of community, responsibility, and belonging that have long defined Mason.
At Mason School District, we believe that when every child is known, valued, and supported, they are empowered to achieve their fullest potential, both in school and throughout life.
